Sax

I started playing the tenor sax at 14 – a natural step after having played the clarinet for 7 years. I played in School and at University – also playing the soprano and baritone sax – with the big band and function bands. Since leaving the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 2003 I have played in many bands, including Thursford Christmas Spectacular on the alto sax, and Showtime Challenge 2 ‘Sweet Charity’ at Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, London, in 2006. I also played alto sax in ‘Blair on Broadway’ which was on at the Arts Theatre in London in 2008.

Now I play sax – mostly tenor – in the various bands I play with: DOLLYman, Ricochet, on my original records and on recording sessions. I’m playing alto sax on a few tracks for Oscar Le Roc and tenor sax on In California by Hawthorne. Below is a recording of me on tenor sax (and piano) on ‘Miles To Go’ from the album Daytime TV:

And here on ‘Saxosus’:

I just want to thank you Matt for playing at my recent 60th Birthday party. Your selection of music was just right and my guest were very pleased. You were very professional and doing business with you was easy and straight forward.
    Wishing you all the best
    Kind Regards
    Audrey
