I began singing in local choirs from about the age of 8. At School I sang in the choir and a madrigal group. At University I sang with the choir and chamber choir, including performances of Fauré’s ‘Requiem’ and Purcell’s ‘Dido and Aeneas’, and at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama with the Jazz Singers, led by Pete Churchill.

Now I sing primarily my own music and with Ricochet and Beach Boys SMiLE. I have also sung lead vocals and as part of a group on recording sessions, including with Reel Vocals at Air Lyndhurst Studios and Metropolis Studios for film/TV. I sing lead on ‘Wake up to Summer’ and ‘Santa Cruz’ as well as backing vocals for a couple of other songs from the album In California by Hawthorne.

The video below is me on keys and singing, plus guitarist Barney Muller. We’re performing a cover of Sam Cooke’s ‘Wonderful World’. Check out the Music page for more songs and youtube videos featuring my vocals.

Thank you again Matt, for your vocals and solo piano piece you recorded for the tribute song I requested. It was simply beautiful. Thank you also for the speed at which you worked. I’m very grateful. AW
